The Benefits

There are many reasons to come to work for Anthony Harper.
They are as varied and diverse as the people who work for us.

From incredible opportunities to develop your career, to the ways we show appreciation to all staff, it’s a great choice.

Learning and Development

We want to invest in you and your career development by providing different learning and development opportunities.
Alongside your ‘on the job’ coaching and development, we offer training that will support you to further develop your technical expertise as well as your interpersonal, professional and leadership skills.
We love sharing our internal knowledge, and regularly run seminars to help further develop our people’s knowledge across our practice areas.
We also recognise that an important part of learning and development is regular feedback. This is encouraged both through informal ‘on the job’ feedback, and through our formal performance review process.

Work/Life balance

Work/life balance is important to us, and we understand that people need flexibility to support their interests, their family or simply do the things they love outside of work.
We encourage you to have a discussion with us around what flexible working could look like for you at Anthony Harper. To support you in working more flexibly, we will reimburse you up to $400 for the cost of equipment to enable a safe and functional home office set-up.
To recognise your long service to Anthony Harper, on completion of five years’ continuous service, you will receive an additional week of annual leave each year.

Wellness package

  • Wellbeing initiative: reimbursement of up to $500 each financial year to spend on your wellness – that could be anything from replacing your running shoes to dancing lessons.
  • Wellness seminars and workshops.
  • Weekly Pilate’s lessons in Auckland and Christchurch.
  • Flu vaccinations.
  • Access for to an Employee Assistance Programme (EAP).
  • Individual workstation assessments.
  • Discounted medical insurance via Southern Cross.

Social Scene

We have a fun, friendly and open environment which not only encourages working together, but celebrating our achievements together too. We have active social clubs in both offices who organise activities like our mid year parties, wine and painting evenings, family BBQ’s, lawn bowls and other fun events.

Parental Leave

Eligible primary carers will receive a top up of any difference between the Government funded parental leave payments and current salary for up to 26 weeks.

We recognise that a primary carer’s contribution to their retirement scheme is often impacted by being on parental leave. To help mitigate the effects of this, we will continue to pay the full KiwiSaver employer contributions for up to 52 weeks whilst the primary carer is on parental leave.

Eligible secondary carers will receive either 1 week or 3 weeks paid leave at the time of birth or adoption.

Employee Legal Fees

Every calendar year you will be able to access up to $1,000 of free legal services.
