Anthony Harper is pleased to announce the appointment of employment lawyer Anne Wilson to its partnership.

Anne has primarily gained her experience working in a top tier firm but brings clients a unique perspective thanks to her background as in-house counsel for Vodafone and advising employers at the Employers and Manufacturers Association giving her a combined 16 years experience advising businesses across a range of sectors.

“As our fifth partnership appointment this year, Anne joins us at an exciting time for the firm,” says Anthony Harper Managing Partner, Malcolm Hurley. “Demand continues to grow at unprecedented rates as we add to an already impressive team of specialist lawyers..”

Anne has moved, with her family, to Ōtautahi , Christchurch to join the firm, and says the city is a vibrant and dynamic place to practise.

“There is a lot of development and still significant post-quake innovation and growth,” she says.

“COVID is impacting employers here, as it is everywhere, but Cantabrians are resilient and well used to adapting to change. Vaccination and mask mandates, workplace testing, work-from-home, restructuring and other issues all need a lot of strategic thought and energy.”

Anne says while the pandemic has brought with it its own unique demands, clients are still focused on the big picture, and that in some cases, this matters even more than ever before.

“With workforce shortages in many sectors, being an employer of choice is not optional. We’re helping many forward-looking employers put in place future-of-work initiatives to this end.”

Anne joins a partnership of thirty-two.
