Mark Dineen brings Agribusiness expertise to national law firm.

Anthony Harper has added agribusiness to its list of key specialty areas with the appointment of Christchurch lawyer, Mark Dineen, to its partnership. Dineen comes to Anthony Harper after 17 years as an owner and partner in a Christchurch law firm. He brings the number of Anthony Partners to 31.

“Mark brings a depth of both real-world experience and legal expertise to the firm,” Anthony Harper managing partner, Malcolm Hurley said. “In turn, Anthony Harper offers its clients a wide range of other legal services important to any agribusiness.”

Dineen said while the agribusiness sector is broad in its focus, clients grapple with a similar range of issues.

“Some parts of the sector are doing extremely well and have new opportunities as a result of Covid-19. However, there are still some supply-side issues, including compliance and labour, that hamper market opportunities.”

“People come for legal advice, but what they are really here for is solutions to problems,” Dineen said.

Anthony Harper has more than 150 staff across offices in Auckland and Christchurch.
