Community support

We value our connections with our local communities, and give back to the community through our pro-bono work, donations, fundraising and our ongoing sponsorship initiatives.

We are also proud of our long-standing support of the arts.

The Pop Up Globe recreated Shakespeare’s original globe theatre.

Anthony Harper was proud to be part of bringing Shakespeare to more than 350,000 New Zealanders

The Pop Up Moot was a huge success, getting students actively involved.

Anthony Harper was the proud foundation sponsor for Auckland’s Pop-up Globe from 2016 until its final New Zealand 2019/20 season before the Globe packed up to tour the world.

Aiming to share the extraordinary experience of Shakespeare’s own audiences through his own work performed in the space and style of his own company, the Pop-up Globe was the world’s first full-scale reconstruction of the Second Globe Theatre.

The Popup Globe provided work for more than 125 Actors across 1206 performances.

In a collaboration between Anthony Harper, Pop-up Globe and the Auckland Law School, the Pop-up Moot was born.  This fabulous event combined the debate of the moot, with the drama of the Pop-up Globe actors re-enacting a legal debate from a Shakespearean play.

After two successful seasons in Auckland, the Pop-up Moot also went on tour, enabling Canterbury Law School to join in the fun.

The Pop-up Moot had a special following, with audiences from the arts, law students, senior lawyers and the judiciary with the event overseen by the very able The Honourable Rhys Harrison QC; a retired judge of the New Zealand Court of Appeal.
